The quick answer
Private City-to-City Transportation From Address to Address
Use this long-distance car service when the trip is too long for a short local ride, but you still want the comfort of one private vehicle from pickup to destination. It works for business travel, family plans, airport connections, university travel, events and selected long-distance routes across Canada.
Requests are shared with approved independent professional chauffeurs. A trip is confirmed when a chauffeur accepts it. For an overview of service classes and booking standards, visit the LUX24 Black Car Service page.
Why travel this way
Door-to-Door Travel Without the Extra Transitions
For selected short-haul trips, a private car can be simpler than a flight, train or rental car. You avoid station transfers, airport lines, parking, rental returns and moving luggage between different parts of the trip.
One private vehicle stays with the trip from pickup to destination, with fewer transitions for the passenger and luggage.
For selected trips, this can work as a rental car alternative when you want private door-to-door travel without parking, refuelling or returning a vehicle.
Door-to-Door Travel
Start from a home, office or hotel. Travel to the destination without changing vehicles.

City-to-City, Hourly or Airport Transfer?
Choose city-to-city when one private vehicle should take the passenger from one city address to another. Choose hourly when the vehicle should stay with the passenger for multiple stops. Choose airport transfer when the timing depends on a flight.
| Service | Best for | How it works | Stops |
|---|---|---|---|
| City-to-City | Point-to-point travel between cities | Trip details and a destination are entered before booking | Comfort stops and declared stops |
| Hourly Chauffeur | Several appointments or a flexible schedule | The vehicle is reserved for an eligible block of time | Planned within the booked terms |
| Airport Transfer | Airport arrivals and departures | Flight and airport meeting information can be attached | Based on the airport booking |
| On-Demand | A pickup needed for the near term | Trip details are sent to eligible nearby chauffeurs | Based on the accepted booking |

Route data and editorial review
How We Keep Travel Information Current
Distances and typical drive times are calculated from the pickup and destination entered in the LUX24 booking system using Google Maps and Mapbox route data. Live traffic, weather, construction and added stops may change the final travel time.
Booking reference: The live fare and trip details shown after both addresses are entered remain the reference for the booking.

Trip structure
One-Way, Round-Trip and Planned Stops
One-Way Transfer
Travel from one pickup address to a destination in another city. The ride ends after the passenger and accepted luggage are dropped off.
Round Trip
When offered, enter both directions. Each needs its own date, pickup time and trip details.
Comfort Stop
Add a short washroom or necessary break during a longer ride. A comfort stop does not add another destination.
Additional Stop
Add planned pickups or destinations in advance. A change in distance or duration may change the fare.
For a custom itinerary, add the pickup, destination, preferred timing and any planned stops before booking.
Price before proceeding
How City-to-City Pricing Works
The fare is shown before booking and is based on distance, expected travel time, vehicle class, stops, tolls and any requested waiting time. LUX24 does not publish guessed sample fares; current pricing comes from the live booking flow.
| Pricing factor | What the passenger should check |
|---|---|
| Distance | The exact pickup and destination addresses, not only the city names. |
| Travel duration | Expected drive time and whether waiting is required. |
| Vehicle class | Passenger count, luggage volume and any special equipment. |
| Planned stops | Every planned pickup, drop-off or additional destination. |
| Tolls, tax and parking | Whether each charge is included or separately shown in the booking summary. |
| Booking changes | A changed destination, added stop or extended duration may change the total. |
The goal is transparent pricing: you review the fare and trip details before payment, without surge pricing added after confirmation.
Clear cancellation terms
City-to-City Cancellation Policy
Plans can change, especially on longer routes. The cancellation rules are shown before booking so the passenger can decide with the cost clearly visible.
| Request type | When the passenger cancels | Cancellation outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Scheduled trip | At least 2 hours before pickup | Full refund |
| Scheduled trip | Less than 2 hours before pickup | 30% cancellation charge and 70% refund |
| Immediate pickup | Before the chauffeur arrives at the pickup point | No cancellation charge. The chauffeur's distance from pickup does not change this outcome. |
| Immediate pickup | After the chauffeur arrives at the pickup point | 2% cancellation charge |
Review the cancellation information shown for the trip before submitting the request. Contact LUX24 Support if the app displays different terms for a specific service or region.
Vehicle and luggage planning
Choose Around the People and What They Are Bringing
Choose the vehicle around the people and what they are bringing. A sedan works for smaller parties, an SUV gives more cabin and luggage space, and a van or Sprinter is better for groups, equipment or longer private transfers.
Smaller Parties
A sedan may suit one or two passengers with standard luggage. Check the listed capacity.
Additional Luggage
An SUV or larger class may suit several checked bags or longer stays.
Groups
Van, Sprinter and Mini Bus options depend on suitable vehicle availability.
Seasonal Equipment
Declare skis, snowboards, golf bags and other oversized equipment. Do not assume it will fit based only on passenger capacity.
Canadian road conditions
Plan for Traffic, Winter Weather and Longer Routes
Longer Canadian routes can be affected by winter weather, construction, traffic and event-day congestion. Share the arrival deadline and any stop requirements so the plan can allow more room where needed.
- Use the exact building, terminal, hotel or residence entrance.
- Allow time for luggage, elevators, check-out and meeting the chauffeur.
- Tell support when an appointment or arrival deadline cannot move.
- Leave additional time during winter conditions and peak traffic.
- Declare required comfort stops and destination stops before pickup.
- Keep essential medication and documents with the passenger.
- Review the available trip updates during the journey.
- Contact Rider Support if road conditions disrupt the plan.
Accessibility and family travel
Tell Us What the Passenger Needs
If the passenger is travelling with children, a service animal, folded mobility equipment or extra luggage, add those details before booking. The goal is a calmer pickup and a vehicle plan that fits the passenger, not just the route.
Mobility Devices
Provide the type, folded dimensions, weight and whether the passenger can transfer into a standard vehicle seat.
Service Animals
Add the service-animal information required for the ride and review the applicable accessibility guidance.
Child Seats
Request the required seat type before the ride. Availability and correct configuration must be confirmed.
Airport Assistance
Include flight, terminal and meeting information with the accessibility details.
Safety and support
Know the Chauffeur and Vehicle Before Pickup
Before pickup, the passenger can see the assigned professional, vehicle and trip details in one place. That helps confirm the right ride before stepping outside. Clear chauffeur, vehicle and timing details help support a more reliable pickup without making availability or arrival time a guarantee.
Chauffeur Review
Required identity and driving documents are reviewed before activation.
Vehicle Review
Registration, inspection and commercial-insurance documents are reviewed for the operating region.
Trip Identification
Use the chauffeur name, vehicle information and licence plate shown for the accepted booking before entering.
24/7 Rider Support
Contact LUX24 for booking questions, active-ride assistance or follow-up after the journey.

Direct answers
City-to-City Car Service FAQs
Routes and Booking
What is a city-to-city car service?
It is a private transfer from a pickup address to a destination in another city. One assigned vehicle completes the trip without station changes.
When does a private city-to-city ride make more sense than a train or rental car?
For selected routes, a private car can reduce transfers, waiting, luggage handling and schedule changes compared with a short flight, train trip or rental car.
Is a LUX24 city-to-city ride private or shared?
The vehicle is assigned to the passenger or group on the accepted trip. Unrelated passengers are not added.
Which Canadian city-to-city routes can I request?
Enter the exact addresses, date and time. Availability depends on the trip and whether an eligible chauffeur with a suitable vehicle accepts it.
When is my city-to-city ride confirmed?
The ride is confirmed after an eligible approved chauffeur accepts it. Submission does not guarantee acceptance or a specific pickup time.
Can I request a one-way ride?
Yes. Enter one pickup address and one destination. The ride ends after the passenger and accepted luggage are dropped off.
Can I request a round trip?
Use Round Trip when shown in the booking flow. Enter the outward and return dates, pickup times and trip details.
Can I book a city-to-city ride for the same day?
You can send the trip details through the LUX24 app for a same-day or on-demand trip where offered. The ride is confirmed only after an eligible chauffeur accepts the trip. Pickup time is not guaranteed.
How far in advance should I book the ride?
Booking earlier allows more time to locate a suitable vehicle and chauffeur. It is recommended for fixed meetings, airport connections, winter travel and larger classes.
Can I book for another passenger?
Enter the passenger's correct name, mobile number and pickup instructions. Send them the chauffeur and vehicle information.
Can I book a trip through several cities?
Add every required stop. Separate trips may suit segments on different dates. Hourly service may suit several stops with the same vehicle.
Can I travel between provinces?
Enter the complete trip to check availability. Interprovincial travel depends on regional operating requirements and eligible chauffeurs.
How is the fare calculated?
The addresses, travel time, pickup date, vehicle class and selected options shape the fare. Review all listed charges before you confirm.
Are tolls, taxes and parking included?
Review the booking summary. It shows which charges are included and which are listed separately.
Can I add stops?
Comfort stops or additional stops can be added before booking. Any effect on fare or timing should appear before the passenger confirms the trip.
Are rest stops available?
A short comfort stop may be added on a longer drive. Additional destinations must be declared because they can change time and fare.
What if weather or road conditions affect the trip?
Traffic, construction, snow and freezing rain may change travel time. Follow trip updates and contact Rider Support if plans are disrupted.
Does the fare include return travel or an overnight stay for the chauffeur?
Review the listed charges. Contact LUX24 Support if a longer one-way trip requires overnight planning or the summary does not explain a charge.
How do I change or cancel the booking?
Use the available booking controls or contact LUX24 Support. A scheduled trip receives a full refund when cancelled at least 2 hours before pickup. Cancellation less than 2 hours before pickup carries a 30% charge and a 70% refund. An immediate pickup can be cancelled without charge before the chauffeur arrives. A 2% charge applies after the chauffeur reaches the pickup point.
Which vehicle should I choose?
Choose by passenger count and luggage volume. Include every bag, stroller, mobility device, child seat and oversized item.
Can I travel with skis, golf bags or oversized luggage?
Add each item before proceeding. A larger vehicle may be required based on equipment dimensions.
Can I request a child seat or accessibility support?
Add the requirement in advance. LUX24 must review whether a suitable vehicle and equipment are available.
When will I receive my chauffeur and vehicle details?
Check the LUX24 app after an eligible chauffeur accepts the trip. Use the chauffeur name, vehicle information and licence plate shown for the accepted ride when the vehicle arrives.
What should I do if I cannot find my chauffeur?
Check the confirmed pickup point and the trip status in the LUX24 app. Use the available private communication option or contact LUX24 Rider Support if you still cannot locate the chauffeur.
What happens if the chauffeur is delayed?
Follow the available arrival updates in the LUX24 app. Contact the chauffeur through the private communication option or reach LUX24 Rider Support when the delay affects your plans.
How do I contact support during the ride?
Use the support channel in the LUX24 app or call the official support line. For immediate danger, call 911 first.
